Six Automated Emails To Grow Your Business

Did you know that email marketing is the #1 preferred channel for marketers? What that means for you is at some point in your entrepreneurial journey you are going to need an automated email sequence.

It's an easy way to welcome new members to your community, website, group, or membership.

And, all this follow up is accomplished without you lifting a finger. Simply set it up and let it go.

Here are six different types of automated email sequences you might use in your business:

  1. Welcome sequence: Probably the most common type of sequence used by small biz owners. It's purpose is to welcome new people to your community as well as creating a connection with your funnel opt-in.

  2. Nurture sequence: The nurture sequence typically follows the welcome sequence. While keeping you top of mind and engaged with your list, it's designed to build relationships and provide value. This sequence all about the customer and less about you. Make it helpful and educational, customer-centric, and no sales pitches here!

  3. Product or Service launch sequence: The Product Launch Sequence is perfect for those of you who are launching a new product or service. It lays out a plan for driving traffic to your product page and nurturing those leads as they make their way through the sales process. You can drive anticipation, awareness, and excitement. Be sure to set up your automation to send out EVERY DAY leading up to launch day, then send several emails that day.

  4. The Daily Seinfeld sequence: If your brand is more casual and friendly then this sequence of emails could be perfect for you. Focused on being 90% entertainment and 10% content it's a fun way to show off who you are and what you do. The key here is staying entertaining or providing value.

In these emails you can literally talk about nothing..i.e. talk about your day:

  • What’s going on in your life?

  • What an embarrassing lesson you've learned?

  • How are you surviving the holiday season?

  • What did you buy recently that you LOVE and makes a great life or business hack?

  • What did you just learn in your business?

  • What crazy antics did your kid or dog get into yesterday?

5. Post Purchase sequence: The Post-Purchase Sequence is automated to immediately follow

up with your customers after a purchase. It's critical if you want to encourage reviews, re- purchases and social sharing of your product or service (so that others will buy).

6. Reactivation Sequence: Using this sequence nudges inactive leads on your email list, driving them back to your site and keeping you top of mind. It also gives you the opportunity to recapture some of those old visitors who might be interested in re-engaging after a prolonged period away from your website.

Automating your email sequences is a great way to free up your time so you can focus on more important things (like making sales).
